…but from our own perspective we’re making changes whenever we can. It isn’t about fulfilling criteria for us, we genuinely want a company that exists in the world as the best that it can be.

We’re already an official supplier with ‘Albert Sustainable’ and are really proud to be amongst good company.

We’ve also contributed in our own small way to so many ‘ADGREEN’ productions, where amazing and passionate people work towards the same goal of environmental accountability. Hopefully we can also contribute to your production being the best that it can be.

Below is where we’re up to right now - and please get in touch if you’ve spent time around us or our products and think you can suggest somewhere that we could improve.

  • Our energy at Copy That HQ is supplied from 100% renewable sources.

  • Wherever possible all single use plastic used is recycled, biodegradable and/or compostable.

  • We have a tree planting scheme for every single time someone hires a set of Walkie Talkies from Copy That. (see our reforestation page)

  • We recycle all packaging - both what we use, or what we receive.

  • We strive to deliver our radios/drives/services via vehicles that are already travelling to productions - saving extra journeys!

  • Our cloud streaming system utilises AWS servers - who have made commitments to be powerd 100% by renewable energy by 2024 (see more details about their progress here)

  • Our webhosting is through a company using 100% renewable energy AND actively offsetting any surplus carbon footprint through projects worldwide. (see more details here)

  • If your production is NW based then buying hard-drives through us reduces the carbon impact of delivery for those products.

  • Packaging for our ‘Custom Cine Store’ products is recycled and recyclable. The plastic is, as mentioned, biodegradable and even the printing is environmentally conscious - Check out ‘Marc the Printers’ based here in manchester.
